Frequently asked questions
Is this legal advice?
No. It is an informational search tool, not a legal opinion or a clearance search. Only a qualified trademark attorney can advise on registrability. Always confirm status on the official USPTO TSDR record.
Is the search free?
Basic exact and similar-name search is free to run. Paid reports and monitoring are not launched yet; we do not advertise features that are not available.
Does the index include dead or cancelled marks?
Not yet. The searchable index currently covers live and unknown-status marks. Dead and cancelled historical records were parsed but are not exposed yet.
How current is the data?
The index combines the 2025-12-31 annual register with daily files through 2026-11-03, built 2026-11-04. The merge runs by hand rather than on a schedule, so recent filings may lag by a few days.
Where does the data come from?
The USPTO Trademark Annual Register (TRTYRAP), 1884-2025, 91 annual XML volumes, obtained via a public-domain mirror. Every result links to the official USPTO TSDR record.
What does a High risk label mean?
That a very similar live mark exists. It is based on name similarity only - not goods/services overlap or legal likelihood of confusion. It is a prompt to investigate, not a verdict.
Are logo and design marks checked?
No. This is a text-mark index. Figurative or design elements are not compared, and non-US registers and common-law use are not covered.
I found a wrong status. What do I do?
Send the serial number, the URL and the official TSDR record through the contact page. TSDR is authoritative; we will correct the mapping or note the discrepancy.
Can I use the data in bulk?
The underlying USPTO bulk data is public. For bulk access, go directly to the USPTO rather than scraping this site.
