Using the service
You may use the search for any lawful purpose, including commercial brand screening. Two limits: do not use it to break the law, and do not call the API at a rate that degrades it for everyone else - unsolicited bulk extraction is not permitted. The service is free, has no uptime commitment, and may change or be withdrawn.
Acceptable use
Do not use automated scraping to reconstruct the full index, overload the service, or interfere with other users' access. Bulk access to USPTO data is available directly from the USPTO.
No warranty and limitation of liability
The service is provided as is. See the disclaimer for the limits of the data. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or decisions taken on the basis of this data; where liability cannot be excluded it is limited to the amount you paid to use the service, which is zero.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute would be heard by the competent court at the operator's place of residence.
Changes
Material changes to these terms will be reflected in the modified date on this page.
